<Job Summary>
-Generate new revenue through the sale of logistics and forwarding services to new and existing customers.
– Communicate with customers to achieve sales team goals and increase sales through daily shipping activities.
– Conduct new sales (cold calling) to generate new business.
– Gather information necessary to expand new business through daily operations, make recommendations to the Sales Manager, and conduct sales activities.
– Responsible for all tasks related to front-of-house (FOH) management and customer service.
-Find new business
<Requirements>
-An understanding of Japanese culture and fluent Japanese language skills
– Logistics industry experience (regardless of job title)
-Customer service skills required
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Logistics or related field (preferred)
– 3 years of sales experience (any industry) is a plus.
-New sales experience is a plus
<Skills Required>
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Understanding of logistics services, sales processes and dynamics
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and suppliers
– Commitment to excellent customer service
– Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills; bilingual Japanese/English preferred.
*Mainly sedentary work with some light physical strain (e.g., occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds)
