Mechanical Processing Project Manager

This role is primarily responsible for planning and coordination of various construction field execution activities with the electrical and instrumentation discipline. The position requires development of all technical documentation required to execute construction field installation activities to include work instructions, permits, etc. These activities will include involvement with procurement, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and testing of various system components. This position also involves oversight of all field installation activities including inspections and problem resolution which requires extensive interface and coordination with Design Engineering, Quality Control, Procurement, Testing, Start-Up, and Safety.

<Primary Responsibilities>
 Coordinate all daily field activities and provide status and schedule updates.
 Review design output and vendor documents.
 Support design review meeting and review/assemble bid documents and
information, attend/chair project schedule meetings.
 Develop installation sequence, generate work instructions and inspection and test
records.
 Facilitate temporary power plans and hookups, identify and coordinate resolution
of field installation issues.
 Perform field inspections and jobsite walkdowns with craft supervision.
 Change order and cost management for all electrical contractors.
 Support the generation of job specific permits as required by the authority
having jurisdiction.
 Effectively collaborate with others to deliver a quality product on schedule and
within budget.

<Qualifications>
 At least 10 years of a combination of field and office experience.
 Experience working with manufacturing customers in a variety of settings.
 Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and
identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
 Experience with process piping, electrical and instrumentation, equipment
installation, controls, commissioning, and start-up.
 An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our small-firm
culture is a must, along with a tolerance for ambiguity.

<Supervisory Responsibility>
This position oversees and coordinates the activities of the general contractors on the jobsite of assigned projects and is responsible for the performance management of the jobsite.

<Work Environment>
While performing this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

<Physical Demands>
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

<Position Type and Expected Hours of Work>
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are specific to each project. Some flexibility in hours may be allowed as projects permit. This position may require long hours and often requires weekend work depending on project demands.

<Travel>
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although out of state travel is likely for project coordination.

<Salary>

$100,000 (DOE)
