A Japanese restaurant in New York is looking for an individual to join their team as a kitchen manager.
Due to their business expansion, they are planning to open a new restaurant next summer that will seat approximately 120 people.
This is a unique and vibrant restaurant that imports its own farmed tuna and perform tuna breakdown show right infront of customers!
<Job Description>
As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff of the restaurant, which seats approximately 120 people.
- Handle and serve food properly and manage food safety standards.
- Upsell menu items (increase unit sales price) to increase sales and improve the dining experience.
- Work with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to hygiene standards.

<Requirements>
- Back of house kitchen or operations experience a plus!
- Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Organization, detail, accuracy, punctuality, and reliability are important.
- Excellent customer service, excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude, team player, good presentation skills.
- Bilingual Japanese/English a plus!
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
