Executive Sushi Chef Position is available at an upscale American sushi restaurant scheduled to open in March in an upscale residential area of Newton, Massachusetts.

You need to develop the restaurant’s operation with an owner of this restaurant.
∙ Menu development
∙ Maintain consistent food quality standards
∙ Monitor and improve consistency of food quality to enhance guest experience
∙ Recruit, train, and develop new team members
∙ Conduct and regularly conduct food tastings
∙ Ensure standards and policies are provided to staff to create and maintain a safe workplace and environment
∙ Identify, quickly and decisively correct, and report actual and potential problems to ensure workplace and environmental safety
∙ Actively encourage and support team members to participate in the decision-making process and assume responsibility and authority.
∙ Identify best practices and determine quality and efficiency measures to benchmark own performance.
∙ Maintain appropriate staffing levels with a proactive, not reactive, approach.
∙ Work with front-of-house management team to facilitate daily pre-shifts with service staff.

<Requirements>

Culinary experience: 10 year (Preferred)
