Branch Manager Position (Phoenix, Arizona)

Branch Manager position is available for a large logistics company with a new opening in Phoenix, Arizona.

Seeking an individual who can handle the management of the office as a Branch Manager.

・Manage assigned accounts within the State of Arizona.
・Prepare quotes and contracts for potential customers within Arizona.
・Achieve regional sales for products sold to all customer segments within the region.
・Build an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
・Sell value and solutions to customers and provide guidance on how to do so.
・Directs sales activities within the region, including resource allocation and customer interaction.
・Responsible for regional forecasting and sales tracking. Prepare sales reports.
・Establish a vision for the region and develop and adhere to a business plan to achieve that vision.
・Evaluate market trends and gather competitive intelligence; identify trends that will impact current and future growth in sales and profitability for the region. Communicate information to sales representatives, corporate marketing, and sales operations.
・Special Projects
・Call prospective customers to identify the buying cycle and customer needs, and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
・Secure and place orders.
・Actively conduct sales activities outside of the office.
・Provide consulting services to clients to promote and develop business.
・Review and evaluate financial performance data to implement strategic ideas to achieve branch growth and expansion.
・Recruit, select, develop, and retain talented individuals to achieve growth and expansion.
・Evaluate performance, train subordinates for promotions and salary increases, and discipline, demote, or terminate employees as necessary.
・Improve the work environment, maintain workplace discipline, and enhance operational efficiency.
・Promote communication and teamwork activities within the branch and region.
・Analyze route layouts to ensure safe and efficient transportation routes.
・Accurately forecast seasonal demand.
・Direct, schedule, coordinate, and dispatch movers and drivers.
・Performs and executes job quotes for existing and potential customers.
・Oversee delivery and receipt of goods to customers, ensuring that all shipping and customs documents are properly executed and payments are properly processed.
・Exercise good judgment in troubleshooting and resolving problems among staff.
・Ensure compliance with all government regulations related to DOT, FMCSA, TSA, C-TPAT, and OSHA.
・Resolve customer complaints, including using independent judgment to quickly and fairly resolve claims for damage to cargo or household goods.
・Train staff on how to provide excellent customer service.
・Prepare timely and accurate accounting documents while maintaining accounts receivable balances within 90 days.
・Manage and improve appropriate record keeping processes.
・Achieve or exceed sales/gross profit or operating income goals and objectives.
・Ensuring that policies and procedures and company quality standards are followed.
・Conduct periodic inspections to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and vehicles are in full compliance with company and government regulations.
・Handle matters related to marine insurance
・Implement information security, safety, sanitation, and fire prevention within the branch.
・Investigate cargo accidents
・Conduct driver safety training, safe driving instructions, and safety campaigns.
・Engage in limited moving operations during peak season, especially in supervising crews when necessary.
・All matters are necessary for the revitalization, growth and expansion of the branch.

・3-10 years of experience as a forwarder
・Bilingual in English and Japanese
・Management experience: 2-3 years
・Knowledge of logistics in the U.S.
・Communication skills (teamwork)
・Preferred Knowledge of CARGOWISE (a plus)
