A major Japanese restaurant operating multiple Japanese restaurants (Yakitori, Ramen, etc.) in Los Angeles and Orange County, California, is looking for an Assistant Manager to join their team.

<Job Summary>
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for a variety of duties including food preparation, cooking and safe sanitary activities in compliance with legal and health standards. You will be responsible for assisting staff to work efficiently and effectively.
<Job Description>
* Train and supervise staff.
* Arranging for breaks and instructing excess staff to leave early.
* Distribute tips to hall and kitchen staff and maintain a sign-in sheet.
Calls to contractors regarding store repairs and communicates to employees * Calculates sales and communicates with the office regarding these issues and corrects them

Handle and confirm tip collection and delivery * Handle and confirm customer complaints * Handle and confirm customer complaints * Handle and confirm customer complaints * Handle and confirm customer complaints * Handle and confirm customer complaints
* Respond to and follow up on customer complaints and communicate to employees.
* Daily health checks
Payroll and receipt sign-in sheets * Prepare and check shift schedule
* Prepare and confirm shifts.
* Prepare agendas and facilitate meetings for the ramen section’s general meetings.
* Ensure kitchen staff take their 10 minute breaks
Checks kitchen staff hygiene * Ensures that the restaurant is safe for operation
* Responsible for the safe operation of the restaurant when open for business.
* Responsible for other tasks as assigned by the manager.

・Los Angeles, Orange County Food Handler Acquisition
・Japanese/English bilingual (business level)
・2+ years of restaurant management experience
