A major Japanese logistics company in Torrance, CA is looking for a Supervisor in the Freight Forwarding department.

<Job Description>
As a Supervisor position, you will lead the team in the following tasks and act as a manager in the absence of a manager.
・Research and plan the most suitable transportation route, taking into consideration the nature of the goods and customer requirements.
・Arrange for appropriate packaging, taking into account climate, weight, nature of goods, cost, delivery, and warehousing of goods at final destination.
・Prepare and check necessary documents to meet client and insurance requirements.
・Coordinate with third-party vendors.
・Arrange for payment of shipping and other related costs.
・Maintain shipment status using designated system.
・Issue invoices.
・Handle and troubleshoot client complaints.
・Arrange transportation and customs clearance for import/export of ocean and air cargo. etc.
<Requirements>
・Bilingual in English and Japanese
・At least 3 years of experience in operation in a logistics company.
・Long term working experience (willingness to work)
・Must have status to work in the U.S.
