High-end revolving sushi restaurant for a large restaurant group company that will be opening in Houston, TX is looking for a kitchen staff position.

The company is a Michelin-starred, publicly traded company that provides fresh food and high quality customer service.

This position is for a kitchen staff position at a new restaurant scheduled to open this October.

The store will open after October.

<Job Description>

1. Preparation of sushi
– Prepare fresh seafood and cut sashimi
– Prepare sushi ingredients and rice
– Prepare sushi rolls and nigiri sushi
– Quickly serve sushi according to order

2. Management of ingredients
– Manage inventory and place orders for ingredients
– Check freshness of seafood and other ingredients
– Store and properly handle ingredients

3. Sanitation
– Kitchen cleaning and sanitation
– Sanitizing ingredients and utensils
– Kitchen organization and tidiness

4. Management of cooking utensils and equipment
– Maintenance of knives, cutting boards and other cooking utensils
– Operation and maintenance of sushi robots and other cooking equipment

5. Quality control
– Check quality of sushi to be served
– Ensure aesthetics of serving
– Improvement based on customer feedback

6. Efficient business operation
– Speedy preparation to maintain high turnover
– Cooperation and communication with other kitchen staff
– Handling of peak hours and efficient work assignment

7. Safety Measures
– Safety measures for handling fire and knives
– Understand and implement emergency response measures

8. Training new staff
– Training and support for new staff
– Teach cooking techniques and hygiene management
