Apparel/ Store Manager

A major Japanese apparel company located in Santa Clara, CA is looking for a Store Manager position.

<Job Description>
The Store Manager is responsible for accounting and finance, sales activities and goals, employee supervision, customer service, and inventory control,
Oversee other administrative and managerial functions, including those that are consistent with company policies and goals.
In addition, the Store Manager will support the District Manager,
ensure that the store embodies the company’s standard of providing excellent customer service to all customers.

1) Operations & Service Management
∙ Manage and monitor day-to-day store operations, including customer service, employee supervision, inventory control, reconciliation of bookkeeping and cash receipts, evaluation of sales activities, and implementation of company policies and procedures.

∙Promote and monitor the quality of customer service by educating employees on company service standards, products and procedures, ensuring that service levels meet or exceed company standards and exemplify company service values.

∙ Foster a welcoming, vibrant, and friendly store atmosphere by prioritizing customer service, responding promptly and courteously to customer needs, and actively seeking to understand customer concerns, requests, and expectations.
∙ Listen to, anticipate, and take the initiative to resolve customer complaints with honesty and integrity.
∙ Assist the Customer Service Center (“CSC”) as needed, including responding to inquiries regarding retail store policies, complaints, and product information.
∙ Communicate closely with CSC leadership to identify potential trends and issues in the storefront and formulate workable solutions.

2) Staff Training & Supervision
▪ Delegate daily tasks to appropriate staff to reduce customer wait times and improve store efficiency.
∙ Maintain employee satisfaction and retention by encouraging open communication and teamwork, resolving potential conflicts, motivating employees, enabling personal and professional growth, listening to and addressing employee complaints and comments, and rewarding exemplary performance.

∙ Work with each manager and store staff to establish and implement a merchandising plan and product presentation that is consistent with the corporate image, including the placement and cleanliness of eyewear displays.

∙ Meet regularly with employees to communicate company announcements, policies, procedures, sales goals, marketing events, and other operational matters.
∙ Understand and implement the rules of the employee handbook (e.g., safety, health, harassment, and security policies) and the company’s service concept, and properly train and mentor staff ∙ Review job applications and interview candidates

∙Review job applications, conduct interviews, hire candidates, conduct performance evaluations, and discipline employees as necessary.

∙Supervises assistant managers or other store manager candidates and monitors business operations; performs staff supervision, customer service, administrative functions, inventory control, cash receipts reconciliation, and sales activity evaluations.
∙Establish and review employee work

3) Data & Finance Management
∙ Compiles operational, financial, and accounting reports or summaries regarding store budgets, expenditures, cash receipts, profit/loss, and sales data.
∙Communicate regularly with the District Manager to compile monthly store reports and store updates; evaluate operating budgets, goals, and employee development; discuss financial reports and sales data; and develop operating strategies to maximize operating efficiencies and sales.

∙Create and maintain records of daily financial activities, sales data, and employee attendance.

∙Maintain records of customer prescriptions, orders, payments, and other patient or business information in accordance with company policy and applicable privacy laws.
∙Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including workplace safety, wage and hour, and equal employment opportunity laws.

<Qualifications>

High school graduate or equivalent (degree in opticianry preferred)
If in the optical industry, one year of experience in retail store management and two years of experience as an optician in a retail store or ophthalmology practice.
