Sales staff (Japanese food wholesaler)

A leading Japanese food distribution company based in San Diego, CA is currently seeking individuals to join our team as Sales Associates.

＜Job Summary＞

Under general supervision, the Sales Associate is responsible for achieving short-term and long-term sales goals as a key sales representative of the company. The goals are accomplished by maintaining existing customers in the assigned territory. As a Sales Associate, you must have high flexibility and be able to coordinate sales activities and promotions with other employees, managers, customers, and business partners to meet their needs, concerns, and schedules.

＜Job Responsibilities＞

• Visit customer and potential customer facilities to provide necessary information and support for securing and maintaining business.
• Establish, maintain, and develop friendly relationships with customers in the assigned territory to maximize profits.
• Be responsible for selling our products to all customers in the assigned territory.
• Anticipate customer needs, determine appropriate solutions to business issues, and provide overall high-level customer service to grow the business.
• Communicate plans to customers, effectively manage resources, and support sales volume.
• Communicate information and feedback gathered through opportunities for new products, services, and on-site activities to the appropriate staff within the company.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure the collection of accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager (Assistant) to set sales targets for the territory.
• Collaborate with the assigned operations and logistics staff to achieve sales goals for the territory.
• Report field activities in a timely manner to support business plans and product plans.
• Submit sales activity reports and other reports as required.
• Participate in quarterly inventory aggregation.
• Perform other assigned duties.

＜Requirements＞

• Must be bilingual in English and Japanese or Korean.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in the Asian food industry preferred.
• Basic PC skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
