A semiconductor manufacturing company located in San Jose, California is recruiting for an Outside Sales Representative position.

<Job Summary>

You will be responsible for developing sales strategies and acquiring new customers through field sales. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will uncover new sales opportunities and promote sales to achieve revenue targets. Your role will involve negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, managing product/service sales, and playing a crucial role in increasing income and revenue. You will also conduct research on sales competition. This recruitment is part of the company’s expansion plans for sales promotion.

 

<Job Responsibilities>

– “Acquire sales” using various customer sales methods such as door-to-door sales, cold calling, and presentations.
– Forecast sales and develop and evaluate “innovative” sales strategies/models that go beyond conventional thinking.
– Assess customer skills and needs to build productive, long-term relationships.
– Achieve individual and team sales targets.
– Research customers and generate or follow up on sales leads.
– Attend meetings, sales events, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest trends.
– Report financial and statistical data to management and provide feedback.
– Maintain and expand customer databases within assigned territory.
– Provide service to existing customers, secure orders, and develop new customers by planning and scheduling daily work routine, making calls to existing or potential sales outlets, and other trade factors.
– Research types of sales outlets and adjust content of sales presentations.
– Research existing and potential sales outlets to focus sales efforts.
– Refer to price lists and product literature to answer questions and make order submissions.
– Provide ongoing information to management by submitting daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
– Gather market information on current market trends regarding pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques, monitoring competition.
– Evaluate results and competitive developments, recommending changes in products, service, and policy.
– Investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management to resolve customer complaints.
– Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
– Manage records of sales within the region and with customers to provide historical records.
– Achieve related outcomes as needed and contribute to teamwork.

 

<Requirements>

・Hold an OPT visa or valid US work visa (Work visa support available for OPT visa holders).
・Willingness to travel within the United States.
・Customer service skills.
・Closing skills.
・Business-level proficiency in English and native-level proficiency in Japanese.
・Possess a valid US driver’s license.
