Outside Sales (Sales)

A Japanese food manufacturer in Santa Fe Springs, CA is looking for an Outside Sales Staff to join their team.

<Job Description>

1. Understanding of market and trends – market research and analysis, including tasting, narrowing down areas/fields to be developed and new targets, and planning, progress management, and reporting of sales
2. Understanding of products, ingredients, and production methods, and educational activities regarding ramen, including cooking methods (including presentations and demonstrations at trade shows). 3) Conducting sales activities through website, phone calls, and e-mails.
3. Responding to inquiries from existing and new customers via website, telephone, and e-mail
4. Visiting and negotiating with customers (maintaining relationships with existing customers and cultivating new ones – including business trips of one to two weeks per month)
5. Sales of our national brand products
6. Support for development and sales of customer-specific private brand products
7. Preparation of various internal documents including reports, various documents and documentation related to the creation of new products/prototypes, and data analysis
8. Management/inventory of product and sample inventory
9. Taking product-related images and cooking demonstration videos, developing information using the Internet (including images and videos, updating information on web pages, creating sales promotion materials)

<Requirements>

– No experience necessary (2-3 years of sales experience in the food industry will be considered and salary will be set separately based on experience and job performance).
– Drivers license (Class C)
– Bilingual Japanese and English, business level or above (other languages are a plus).
– No food allergies (sensory testing of products containing allergens is required for the job)
