A large Japanese travel agency is looking for Inbound Division Representative in Los Angeles, CA.

<Job Description>
*Hotel related work
- Process orders from headquarters and other branches in Japan and the U.S. and prepare quotes as needed
- Check availability of optional tours and hotel reservations for clients who have booked package tours or air reservations only
- Coordinate payments to hotels, review invoices, and report necessary information to the accounting department
- Conducting negotiations with hotels regarding pricing, availability, and additional services as needed
- Investigate and report losses related to reservations and prevent future problems
- Handle and troubleshoot various hotel related claims in assigned areas
- Research and compile ideas for new product proposals
*Manage hotel reservations and sales
- Oversee all functions related to hotel reservations, quotes, and hotel inventory
- Manage third party sites, vendors, hotels and agents for rate setting, price negotiation and implementation of reservation procedures
- Respond to and follow up on reservation inquiries via email, phone, and personal visits
- Handle complaints and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
*Customer support
- Assist customers with airport transfers, hotel and airport check-in, and tour guides
- Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of drivers and guides at arranged airports and operations, confirm tour flight times and make optional tour reservations for clients
- Organize necessary materials for guide assignments, design optional tour brochures and flyers, create new optional tours, manage coupons and vouchers
- Manage tour/driver guides and vendors; manage tour/driver guide schedules and vehicles; verify tour/driver guide tariffs and payroll
- Arrange optional tours and guides/vendors in other cities; support and follow up with other branches on weekends
- Prepare daily reports and share information with relevant departments, conduct final procedures for CHALLENGE/HOPS
*Coordination of optional tours and land package tours
- Arrange and coordinate optional tours in the West Coast region
- Arrange and coordinate vacation optional tours ordered by the Japan office
- Coordinate reservations and transportation for optional tours, land package tours, attractions, hotels or restaurants. Make changes and adjustments as needed and ensure accuracy of procedures with final confirmation
- Manage payments for optional tours, transportation and ticket sales
- Research and compile ideas for new optional tour proposals
*Maintain official company website
- Keep content of U.S. optional tour, vacation tour, and land package websites up-to-date
- Research other vendor websites and keep company page content up-to-date
- Process tour inquiries and other inquiries on U.S. and Japanese websites
- Process tour inquiries and other inquiries on other vendor websites
- Create local information articles and product flyers
*Ensuring high quality customer service
- Provide feedback on customer service procedures to other staff members
- Maintains the company’s image and provides the highest standards of service
- Respond to customer complaints, generate reports, answer phone calls and emails
- Troubleshoot problems related to optional tours and communicate with vendors and others
<Requirements>
- Business level English, conversational level Japanese
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two to three years in a similar position is preferred)
