Assistant Restaurant Manager|Leading Restaurant Company Planning to Open a New Restaurant

A large restaurant group company’s revolving sushi restaurant that’s opening in Houston, TX is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager position.

The company is a Michelin-starred, publicly traded company that provides fresh food and high quality customer service.

This position is for an Assistant Restaurant Manager at a new restaurant scheduled to open this winter.

The start date for this position is the end of August or September. The restaurant will not open until October.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the operation of the restaurant and ensure efficient and effective operation while working with the Restaurant Manager. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support the operation of the restaurant and ensure efficient and effective service.

<Job Description>

1. Staff management
– Create and manage staff shifts
– Staff training and development
– Staff performance evaluation and feedback
– Staffing optimization

2. Customer Service
– Handling customer complaints and inquiries
– Initiatives to improve customer satisfaction
– Coordinate special requests and events

3. Operations management
– Support day-to-day store operations
– Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
– Inventory control and ordering of equipment and food items

4. Sales Management
– Prepare daily and monthly sales reports
– Set sales targets and implement measures to achieve them
– Cash flow management

5. Cost Management
– Cost management of food and supplies
– Efficient inventory management and minimization of waste
– Budgeting and monitoring

6. Marketing and Promotions
– Planning and implementing promotions and campaigns
– Attracting customers through social media and advertising
– Building relationships with the local community

7. Safety and Compliance
– Compliance with labor laws and health standards
– Implement and monitor safety measures
– Risk management and emergency preparedness

8. Reporting
– Performance reporting to management and headquarters
– Data collection and analysis
– Prepare and implement improvement proposals

9. Assist the restaurant manager and work with staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations

<Requirements>

– Able to speak both Japanese and English
– Hospitality minded
– At least 3 years of experience as an assistant manager or manager in a restaurant or hotel

Salary $4000-4500 / Monthly + Bonus(To be determined after interview depending on experience)
