A large Japanese gas company in Houston, Texas is looking for a HR Manager / Labor Relations Specialist.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is employed as a contract (temporary) employee.
<Key Responsibilities>
・Conduct interviews and background checks
・Handle onboarding and offboarding processes
・Manage performance evaluation procedures
・Approve timecards and ensure timekeeping compliance
・Propose and implement workflow improvements
・Oversee labor-related operations (e.g., W-2s, I-9s, employee handbook, labor audits)
・Act as an advisor while also working hands-on with the HR team
<Required Skills and Experience>
・Must have a valid U.S. work permit
・Experience with ADP implementation and administration
・Hands-on knowledge of labor relations practices (W-2, I-9, company policies, audits, etc.)
・Understanding of Texas state and local labor laws
・Bilingual in Japanese and English
