Factory Manager

A Japanese food specialty trading company in Baldwin Park, CA, is looking for a Factory Manager.

*Duties

• Arrange production schedules based on production instructions and plan work according to product type, quantity, specifications, and order delivery date.
• Manage all resources required for production and ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
• Prepare production and operational reports to ensure that the production process is efficient and effective
• Coordinate with other production supervisors and QA/QC workers to ensure production procedures meet FDA, GMP, USDA, and ISO quality standards
• Conducts training for all employees
• Assist Plant Manager in resolving employee relations issues, hiring needs, and benefits questions
• Assist in supervising the QA/QC team for lab testing and sample tastings
• Coordinate with the sales team to provide products for trade shows, nutritional information, and product labels
• Work with the manufacturing department to enforce health and safety guidelines, sanitize the production line, and clean up the work environment
• Assist managers with 401K, ADP, and other office duties
• Participate in company events and functions outside of regular working hours
• Reporting and responding to management requests
• Other duties as required by the office or Vice President

<Requirements>

• Able to speak Japanese and English
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related field required
• 5+ years of food/related manufacturing management or supervisory experience
