Chef/Executive Chef|Japanese Restaurant

A Japanese restaurant located in Los Altos, California is seeking an experienced Chef/Executive Chef.

 

<Responsibilities>

  • Oversee and manage all kitchen operations

  • Develop menus centered around Japanese cuisine, including seasonal specials

  • Handle procurement, inventory control, and cost management of ingredients

  • Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff

  • Ensure food safety and hygiene compliance throughout all cooking processes

  • Maintain food quality and conduct regular quality checks

  • Collaborate closely with floor staff, managers, and other departments

 

<Requirements>

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Japanese cuisine, including sushi, tempura, and grilled dishes

  • Prior experience as an Executive Chef

  • Strong skills in ingredient selection and cost control

  • Proven leadership and team management abilities

  • Knowledge of hygiene regulations and food safety standards
