Assistant Manager

A trading company specializing in Japanese food in El Monte, CA, is looking for someone to work as an Assistant Manager.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate problem resolution for offices, warehouse facilities, parking lots, and other maintenance issues
  • Update, maintain, and coordinate safety programs following OSHA and DOT programs
  • Renew and maintain lease agreements for office and company cars, trucks, and equipment
  • Renew and maintain lease agreements for office and company vehicles – Ensure buildings are regulated by health and fire departments
  • Update and record company property (gas cards, office keys, cell phones, vehicles, equipment, etc.)
  • Follow up and report car accidents and property damage claims
  • Coordinate and support company events and activities (on-site inventory, restaurant shows, shareholder and board meetings, etc.)
  • Building maintenance (inspections, testing, etc.)
  • Prepare, review, update, and maintain legal business documents such as new and existing restaurant compliance, business
  • insurance, liquor licenses, contracts, registrations, and general business licenses
  • Attend company events outside of regular working hours
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager



  • Ability to speak both Japanese and English
  • Associate’s Degree or higher
  • Back office experience
  • 5+ years of office management experience preferred
